Immunising the population against covid-19 does not make it more vulnerable to influenza

You have sent us a video through WhatsApp claiming that the Spike protein, the one in which vaccines are based and which is found in the surface of SARS-CoV-2, has the capacity to worsen influenza disease, which will cause during autumn and winter months “a large mortality”. And provides numbers: according to the video, about “20% and 30% of vaccinated people” will die. This is FALSE. There is no scientific evidence that vaccination against covid-19 influences in any way the development of the most severe influenza cases. These are different diseases, caused by different viruses and the presence or absence of the S protein does not influence the development of influenza.
